Details
The
basic scope of work included the
product development of a basic sound
level meter with capabilities of
data acquisition, data logging,
and data processing. It also includes
calculation of various parameters
like LEQ (based on logarithmic tables)
and communication of the data to
the PC end for further processing
and analysis.
The basic hardware design prototype
was made by us and the software
was written in assembly language
by our team.
The Embedded software has various
options for handling OS operations
like creation, deletion of files
and distinct nomenclature for sound
and frequency measurement files,
RAM formatting, Ni-Cadmium Battery
Life Available and Calibration Facility
with a standard reference source.
Measurement options using different
ranges for different environments,
Serial Communication of files to
the PC in consonance with serial
communication software on the PC
written specifically for this application
in C++.
Finally our team also did the interfacing
and testing of the completed product.
We are also carrying out any future
development and modification to
create new products out of the existing
one. |
